On Sunday the 25th of March 2012, Edd Gould passed away after a six year long battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed.

I glanced at this and expected this was gonna be a gag like I’ve seen on Twitter these past weeks. Sadly, there was no such punchline to be found.

I’ve semi-known Edd since the Lock Legion days and had met Edd a few occassional times at Newgrounds Meets and assorted expos and he was a nice chap. As an animator somewhat lacking in motivation and ideas, I was always pretty jealous of his ability to get shit done, even when shit was getting done to him. He was a credit to the flanimator community and he will sorely be missed.
